The Kings look like they are going to be back to reclaim their crown as kings of the music world back from the synth loving scenesters of today. From what I'v heard, it's an album that's going to be on a major scale. Huge songs that you can imagine the crowds of thousands singing along to. 'Use Somebody' is better than any other Kings Of Leon song I have heard, aside from my personal and underrated favorite 'Ragoo'. It's a song that has the ability to send shivers down your spine and Caleb's voice is truly incredible. Wow I'm excited. It's a shame a few more tracks have entered the blogesphere. Im not really down for that. Two tracks is enough for me and it will just mean I have nothing to be excited about on the 23rd of September when 'Only By The Night' drops. Don't listen to them!
Althoguh, saying that, the temptation is great, and I don't blame you if you do. Kings Of Leon are very addictive. I didn't even get into until just before last christmas, and since then everything I could find out, everything I could listen too has been rinsed.
I'm very excited about the direction this album is going to be taking. 'Because Of The Times' is my favorite of the three they have previously released and it showed us taster's of what I reckon this album is going to be full of. The singalong 'On Call' and the ultimately catchy, arrogantly delicious 'Fans' have proved a hit with the mainstream and what with 'Sex On Fire' receiving ridiculous amounts of airplay in the last few weeks, I think this album could see KOL go to another level. I mean, American bands at the beginning of the year were not cool. The Killers left a bad taste in my mouth and British indie bands couldn't be any sounder. How it's all changed in a year. ElectroElectroElectro. The only bands that made America cool again were MGMT and Black Kids. But the catch is, Kings Of Leon's music isn't anything like theirs, they don't need to be what's cool at the moment. They are that amazing that whatever they do, everyone from the scenesters to middle-aged businessmen who listen to their iPods on the train to work, and still, they manage to stay one of the bands you feel cool name-dropping. It's true.
Is it me, or since Caleb debuet his new hair ages ago in the video for 'Charmer' he has become this sexiest man in music? Even...the world? He's come a long way since his 'Youth And Young Manhood' days. He's even bringing back the curtains. Are you like me and sad enough to see what someone is wearing and immediately want it? Not just one thing but the whole outfit?
Right. This hurts, but you are goingto have to start with a checked shirt. Make the checks bold. Shirt from Asosman @ asos.com £22
You then need the leather jacket. Best to make it leather-look. Not only is it cheaper but you won't feel as guilty knowing you don't have a dead cow on your back. Jacket from Asosman @ asos.com £50
Slim leg jeans will not do. They need to give you deep vein thromobsosis when sat down for more that 15 minutes. These cheap mondays are leave no gap between skin and jean, but are also elasticated so don't chafe! Jeans Cheap Monday @ asos.com £40
The shoes are an essential. Anything boot like will do. But a cuban heel is preferable. These are a nice pair of low cut chelseas. Shoes Hudson @ asos.com £85

I've loved KoL since Youth and Young Manhood, and maybe that's become my problem with them. I fell in love with that, dare I say it, dirty, sexy guitar sound, and Caleb's insane yelps.
Because of the Times really didn't do anything for me, it felt like one of my favourite bands had deserted me, and as much as I like Crawl and Sex on Fire, some of the other tracks I've heard (and I suppose you haven't) just don't have that urgency.
Stadium sounds are all well and good, but where's the anger, the bar-room brawls? I miss it. *listens to Molly's Chambers8
I can empathise with your point. They do need to be careful not to make it become all about the big songs. I'v already read one blog saying they can be compared to U2! And it's annoying when you have been with a band from the start and they alienate their fans but I don't think that's there aim. i just think album by album they are making progression which and at least it allows you to look back and think I prefered them then, than them produce an album exactly the same as the last one, just not as good.
