When 'That Girl That Boy' came out I thought it was possibly the most amazing track I had heard to date. Looking back, I may have been caught up in the fact it is the most energetic track I had ever heard. Since then, they have lost all credibility in my books. I havn't enjoyed a single other one of their songs I'v heard. They seem watered down and set for the commercial world which is a shame. I also reckon they missed their window of opportunity. When the scenesters were loving the new rave, Hadouken! were living it. Since then, they messed around with the release of an album and ended up releasing it a year too late for anyone to like it. It was all about flat peaks, Hi Top dunks and skinnies, and that's not what the masses want anymore.
In terms of remixes, the DIOYY one is shite, adding nothing but another bassline, the original being a lot better. But their remix of 'The Prayer' which has been doing the rounds for a fooking long time is good becuase it adds something to the song, a new chorus etc. As for the Plan B remix, it wanted to get you up and moving. LOVE IT. Hadouken! are not cool. And are frankly shite, but these remixes do the job. (JUST TO LET YOU KNOW, EVERYTHING IS BORROWED IS NOT DISAPPOINTING!)

Have you actually listened to their tracks "Spend your life" and especially "Driving nowhere"? They are awesome songs. "Driving nowhere" has been on my car stereo for months... and i usually have a fast throughput... shit gets old quick...
No I havn't, I'v only heard the terrible singles 'Crank It Up', 'Leap Of Faith' and 'Liquid Lives', and they are genuinly dreadful so I have no wanting to listen to further Hadouken!.
I for one am pleased they took their time in releasing their album. What would have been the point of rushing to release an album with the same songs that had been around the myspace for months? Instead, they went away and wrote a load of new material. I agree with the previous poster regarding Driving Nowhere and Spend Your Life. If, as you say, you've not heard them, then you clearly don't have much to base your opinions on as they make up 2 of the 11 tracks on the album. Perhaps try giving it a listen before dismissing it all as "terrible".
No, because it's their sound which I think is terrible, so I don't want to listen to the album and can pretty much guess it's not going to float my boat. Don't you find it cringeworthy?
Also I just listened to 'Driving Nowhere' and can't see any parallels with the Hadouken! we were expecting after 'That Boy That Girl'. It sounds like a europop song
